Cultural celebration of the Atlantic regions - From April 22 to May 4, 2003.

530 artists from Atlantic Canada converging on the nation's capital to participate in more than 85 activities in 20 different venues over a 13-day period. Atlantic Scene shone the spotlight on the bold, original and contemporary side of the region's arts and culture in a widely varied program. This celebration of Atlantic Canada's artistic vibrancy featured performers such as Natalie MacMaster, comedian Rick Mercer, Buck 65 and Marie-Jo Thério, opera singer Measha Breuggergosman and visual artist Christopher Pratt.

Public interest and support surpassed all expectations: nearly 40,000 people turned out for this superb festival.
